BIO
Leo Layla Díaz (they/them) is a Jersey-native, playwright, arts administrator, and disabled Latin icon. They hold a BFA in playwriting and MA in arts management from The New School.
Some of their recent plays include Gore is for Girls (Art House Productions), Orbiting Something (The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals, off-Broadway), Trophy Boys (The New School & The Tank), Roleplay (The Chain Theatre), and Croaks (The Tank). Díaz’s writing has been performed at Rebel Verses (The Vineyard Theater), The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues, and Brave New Voices (Houston & Las Vegas).
Díaz’s writing focuses on identity, joy, being mediocre at Spanish, queer people who never left their emo phase, and glitter.
